Among the 10 finalists selected by the pre-Jury of the RFI Discovery Prize for the 2022 edition, a Haitian, by the name of Magdaline Mytil is counted. The latter is about to receive her award and fly the country’s flag internationally.
Magdaline Mytil, selected from among the 60 candidates for the Prix Découvertes RFI, was chosen after deliberation by the listening colleges of France Média Monde following the meeting of the pre-jury on October 14th.
As usual, the performances of the candidates will be done in three stages: the appreciation and the vote of the grand jury which will be chaired this year by the artist Yemi Alade and also the vote of the general public.
While waiting for the name of the winner to be announced on November 18, the Haitian public can now start voting for Magdaline Mytil. Voting will end on November 16 before midnight.
As a reminder, Magdaline Mytil is not the first Haitian to be a finalist for this prestigious award. Recently, for last year’s edition, Kébert Bastien was also selected.
