Date:

According to information obtained by Hebdo24 from a government source, Jonas Vladimir Paraison is expected to be appointed as the new acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH).

Currently serving as the head of security at the National Palace, Paraison will replace Rameau Normil in the top police post. A presidential decree confirming his appointment is expected to be published shortly, the source said.

This major decision was made during the first Council of Ministers meeting led by Laurent Saint-Cyr, the newly installed coordinator of the Presidential Transition Council (CPT), held on Friday, August 8. It was Saint-Cyr’s first council meeting, having assumed leadership of the CPT just a day earlier.
