Haitian Businessman Pierre Réginald Boulos Arrested by U.S. Authorities
Pierre Réginald Boulos, a well-known Haitian physician and businessman, was arrested on Friday, July 18, 2025, by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The arrest took place in the early afternoon at his private residence in Florida. According to initial reports, the arrest follows discrepancies found in the permanent residency application that Mr. Boulos submitted to U.S. authorities.

A source close to the family told journalist Péguy Jean that Dr. Boulos is accused of failing to disclose his status as a founding member of the political party MTV-Haiti to immigration authorities—an omission deemed essential by officials.
It has also been reported that Mr. Boulos, who had a deadline to leave U.S. territory by December 2, 2025, is named in the assassination of Jovenel Moïse.
