Kidnapping: the palliative measures announced by the executive are causing a stir

Date:

The measures taken to stem the tide of this lamentable situation appear futile to many citizens. From revoking the right to paint to announcing the creation of an anti-kidnapping unit, the executive is struggling to find a palliative.

Political figures take offense. The de facto government’s decision to ban vehicles with tinted windows is absurd, according to Louis Gérald Gilles, a former Senator of the Republic.

For his part, former colonel Himmler Rébu, in an open letter to Joseph Jouthe, recounts a series of problems with this decision. On the technical side, he believes that the communiqué does not take into account vehicles with privacy glasses. Manufactured windows.

Himmler Rébu also took the opportunity to advise the head of the CSPN on the identification of responders. “It is imperative that police officers be identifiable by their names and numbered tags. The use of balaclavas must be prohibited on the public highway”, he noted.

Political figures are not the only ones to describe this decision as far-fetched. Junior Pierre has been driving a vehicle with tinted windows for 2 years. As far as he is concerned, this decision can in no way curb the wave of kidnappings in the country.

His friend Eddy Paul agrees. “This decision is just a diversion. It can in no way change what we’ve been going through these past few days. It’s time to stop beating about the bush,” he says.

It remains to be seen what the real results of these decisions will be in the days to come.
