Harmonik unveils new album “IDANTITE’N” at Maryland concert

Date:

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Haitian band Harmonik presented their seventh studio album, Idantite’n, at an exceptional concert in Maryland. In front of an enthusiastic audience, the band members, including Nickenson Prudhomme and Marc D, delivered an energetic performance, playing several previously unreleased tracks from the album.

Idantite’n marks a turning point in the band’s career, symbolizing a return to their roots after periods of transition. The album skilfully blends traditional kompa sounds with contemporary influences, reflecting Harmonik’s assertive musical identity.

The release of Idantite’n was preceded by a period of reflection and hard work, as Nickenson Prudhomme points out: “After those difficult moments, everything seemed uncertain. But with a growing awareness of what Harmonik stands for, and the support of many musicians and family members, confidence was restored.”

This concert in Maryland is part of a series of performances planned to promote the album internationally. The band will also perform at the Zenith in Paris on April 20, 2025, offering European fans the opportunity to discover Harmonik’s new compositions live.
