As tensions between Haiti and the Dominican Republic escalate, more than 700,000 Haitians face repression, expulsions, and systematic discrimination in the neighboring country, without any support from their government.

The Haitian authorities, notably the Minister of Foreign Affairs Harvel Jean-Baptiste and the Minister for Haitians Living Abroad Kathia Verdier, remain silent, despite the mistreatment suffered by our compatriots across the border. No call for justice has been issued by Port-au-Prince, symbolizing the government’s inaction.

Public anger is rising in Haiti: citizens and activists denounce this passivity, describing it as complicity in the face of impunity. Analysts are calling for a strong diplomatic response and urgent international cooperation.

Without action, Haiti further increases the vulnerability of its nationals, while its silence becomes synonymous with abandonment.
