FNE: CEREH demands clarification on the 19 billion gourdes earmarked for insecure schools

Date:

The Collectif des Éducateurs pour le Renouveau de l’Éducation (CEREH) recently expressed major concerns about the 19 billion gourdes allocated by the government to schools affected by insecurity.

According to CEREH, the list of beneficiary schools published on the Fonds National de l’Education (FNE) website does not accurately reflect the schools actually affected.

This raises questions about the transparency and management of the funds allocated.

CEREH demands a clear explanation of this discrepancy and calls for an urgent meeting with Sterline Civil, head of FNE.

The organization stresses the importance of open communication and rigorous assessment of schools’ needs to ensure that aid actually reaches those who need it.

This request is part of a wider context of support for education in the country’s crisis situation.
