From now on, WhatsApp will offer the “Show once” option for sending disappearing videos and photos.
This new feature will enable people using WhatsApp to send photos and videos that disappear after being opened, “View Once”, as Snapchat and Instagram allow.
To activate this feature for media on WhatsApp, simply press the “1” button well before sending the photo or video. All messages or media sent with “View once” are end-to-end encrypted and are not accessible to anyone else, WhatsApp guarantees.
This feature was only available to WhatsApp Beta users.
With View once, WhatsApp gives users the guarantee that the media will disappear forever after being opened.
