On the occasion of the fête de la musique this Monday, June 21, 2021, a new magazine is taking to the web. Sports and culture fans can already subscribe to “Vedette Mag” on social networks including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The magazine’s founding members had planned to launch the magazine with great fanfare, but have been forced to do so with little fanfare due to the prevailing socio-political situation in Haiti.
Vedette Mag is an online magazine that provides subscribers with first-hand information on their favorite stars and sports teams. This online media specializes in the excessive production of (multimedia) content relating to culture and sport.
Whether in music, theater, fashion, slam, painting, crafts, dance, sculpture, tourism, literature or sports in general, fans will have plenty to sink their teeth into.
In a short interview with Hebdo24, Richard Alexandre, co-founder alongside Boisrond Eventz and Stephane Metellus, says he is aware of the void that exists in this sector. The former editor of Le Nouvelliste group’s Ticket Magazine proposes, along with other colleagues, to make their contribution to the launch of this sector.
“Both nationally and internationally, we’ll be your eyes, ears and source of reliable information,” promises the Editor-in-Chief.
“This new media platform is now the perfect and ideal address for information,” believes Mr. Alexandre, former editor of Adduction Media, Loop Haïti, Le National and Sibelle Haïti.
This team is made up of spirited youngsters who are passionate about their craft.
Richard Alexandre is Editor-in-Chief. Wilder Sylvain is Editorial Secretary,
Mackendy Alfred plays the role of Assistant Editorial Secretary and Wesker Sylvain, Vedette Mag proofreader.
More than a dozen young editors from university backgrounds are part of the editorial staff of this new online medium.
The icing on the cake: Richard Alexandre, Editor-in-Chief of Vedette Mag, will appear daily from Monday to Friday on the Dominik Show on Radio Solidarité 107.3 FM to discuss the articles available on the Vedettemag.com website, according to the journalist. Starting this Monday, June 21, every 4:45 PM.
