The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announced Saturday the appointment of David Bad\u00eda as the new head coach of Haiti\u2019s national team. The move comes at a crucial time for the Grenadiers, who are set to compete in the Concacaf Nations League.<\/p>\n
In a short video posted on the FHF\u2019s Facebook page introducing the new coach, Bad\u00eda addressed Haitian supporters for the first time. He opened by echoing the national team\u2019s rallying cry, \u201cGrenadye Alaso!\u201d, before adding, \u201cMen mwen\u201d (\u201cHere I am\u201d).<\/p>\n
The 51-year-old Spanish coach spent four years with FC Barcelona\u2019s academy, where he held coaching and management positions between 2012 and 2016. He later joined the technical staffs of Fenerbah\u00e7e and Almer\u00eda as an assistant coach.<\/p>\n
As a head coach, Bad\u00eda has managed clubs including AEK Larnaca, Ethnikos Achna and Lechia Gda\u0144sk. He now takes over the Grenadiers as Haiti begins a new chapter following its qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup under former coach Mign\u00e9.<\/p>\n
The FHF has not provided details on the length of Bad\u00eda\u2019s contract or the amount involved in his appointment.<\/p>\n
Bad\u00eda\u2019s first test on the Grenadiers\u2019 bench will come in the Concacaf Nations League. Haiti will face Trinidad and Tobago on September 24 before taking on Costa Rica three days later.<\/p>\n
