The General Customs Administration has achieved a historic record in terms of contribution to public finances. In fact, as part of the new control perspectives, the AGD has mobilized 6.5 billion gourdes for the month of December 2021 against 5.0 billion gourdes in 2020, can we read in a press release made public by the ‘institution.
This increase in revenue is due to better control at the level of collection fields, said the note.
This level of overall perception is distributed as follows:
4.9 billion for tax revenue and 1.6 billion gourdes for revenue from granted rights.
The Managing Director of AGD, Mr. Romel Bell, has set himself new goals. He gives body and soul to the collection performance and modernization of customs. Mr. Bell also extends to reinforce his will for the continuation of the customs reform.
The general customs administration now relies on the collaboration of its technical and financial partners to continue the institution’s reform projects by modernizing the customs offices, the note concluded.
