Francillon Chéry, the new president of the Association Haïtienne de Football des Amputés (AHFA), who replaces Mr. Ariel Valembrun.
The primary aim of this project is to train 50 disabled people, if Ms. Louis is to be believed.
PROPRES is an initiative that will work to raise awareness among athletes by initiating advocacy against violence, abuse, exploitation and sexual harassment of disabled women in sport.
These sportsmen and women will receive training on these key themes. At the end of this training, their recommendation will be submitted to the relevant authorities for the necessary follow-up.
The AHFA intends to organize a workshop for journalists on topics specific to the sport. An executive from the association will present a training seminar for journalists on the rules of amputee soccer and also on how to tell the story of this little-known sport.
Doctor Vladimyr Saint-Surcis will speak on the relationship between medicine and amputee soccer. There will be a workshop for journalists on articles 6 and 16 of the amputee soccer regulations.
Two groups of journalists will be asked to produce an advertising spot of no more than 45 seconds. The best one will be selected and a bonus will be reserved for them.
In a bid to find out about possible state mechanisms for protecting the rights of disabled women in sport, the PROPRES project intends to meet the Secretary of State for Sport for an exchange. This structure wants to make sure that there are laws in place to protect their rights. If not, it hopes to propose something to this entity.
To round off this series of activities in style, a cocktail party will be organized in the presence of the press to submit to the Minister of Sport, the Minister for the Status of Women and Women’s Rights and the Secretary of State for Sport the discharge booklets containing the summaries of all the recommendations.
